Perhaps against my better judgment, there has never been any kind of agenda or ill-fitting manifesto underpinning Fourth Dimension Records beyond a desire to, simply, document work by artists, groups or friends that I have liked or wanted to support at any given time. As such, please take into consideration that when the label was taken over by myself in 1984 (from Gary Levermore of Third Mind Records), I was only 18 years old. Having been motivated for several years by punk and, to a greater degree, the corridors explored by post-punk and some electronic music, the label began with mapping out some of its areas accordingly. Of course, it would only be too easy to disclaim certain ideas or releases with the benefit of hindsight, but I'll stand by the logic, or lack of it, behind absolutely everything noted in the catalogue. After all, it would be far worse if the label, and/or my interests surrounding it, didn't keep evolving...

By all means feel free to send in demos or previous releases, but please do not necessarily expect any kind of response beyond my informing you that I have received something. Due to a permanent backlog of music awaiting my attention, it can sometimes take months to actually listen to anything sent. Furthermore, Fourth Dimension Records is unfortunately not in a position to release absolutely everything I like.

Despite this, trades, the exchange of ideas, communication of any nature, etc., meantime, continue to remain actively encouraged.

Thanks,

Richo
